Thanks XR6Man and Falkeen.

It's been a while getting these up, but without a digital camera, I have to use a normal one, get the film processed and then scan the photos. Next purchase may just be a digital camera.

Clear indicators installed Thursday (after i took the photos). As for the rear bar - I've been thinking about getting the AU2/3 XR bumper 'extension'. One of these days I'll get around to it.

I have actually modified the rear bumper by cutting 2 slits and meshing them (kind of like the T2 rear bar, but not as wide). When I get more photos of this part, I'll post them up and you guys can let me know if that is acceptable :), or if I still need the rear bar extension. I'm sort of in 2 minds about it, so other people's opinions gratefully accepted.

Thanks. No further ideas yet (maybe roller rockers/rocker rollers/whatever they're called). But I'm sure aomeone will come up with a new idea on here that I'll just have to try myself! I just had 2 weeks off over christmas, and spent 12 of those days doing something or other to my car or the mrs XR! Not all day, mind you, but enough of each day to make her indoors cranky!

Anything to make the car different is what I look for, so even someone else's idea ends up being bastardised by me to suit myself (chrome door handles is one example - I painted mine platinum).

I'm going to get a digital camera sometime next week so that I can take photos and post them up here a bit faster than 3 weeks after I've done something to the car!

MATE, that's one sweet FORTE you've got there. Damn, it almost passed off as a genuine TS50. You'll need the side skirts and the rear bumer bar. I'm having it fitted onto my XR6 as we speak so I'll post pictures when they are done (Friday).

Thanks - it's been mistaken for a T3 many times, and even for the new BA a couple of times!!

Yours should look good too - interesting that you're changing from the XR front though!

JCV8 How much was the brumby bar? Does it come with the lights? If not where did you get the lights from?
I'm going from memory here, but I think the Brumby bar was $895 supplied painted and fitted. The lights were $99 - they are Trifa 75mm round, and Bob from Canberra Car Styling can get them for you from the place next door to him - can't remember the name of the shop, sorry!. They are $149 elsewhere (eg Supercheap Auto).

As you are not in Canberra, factor in some postage/courier charges, and you may also look at getting the bar painted & fitted in Sydney (to avoid scratching etc) Tell Bob that you want to put lights in it and he will make up the brackets for you at the time he does the bar - otherwise he will put mesh in, and the brackets for the mesh are in a different position to where you need them for lights.

My advice is to give Bob a ring and have a chat to him. He is a good bloke and will go out of his way to help you. You could also mention that I recommended him to you so next time I want something I get a discount. LOL!

sorry but i have to say i dont like the front spoiler... looks like a HSV copy! No offense though the rest looks wukud.
Funny you should say that - that is exactly what it is. VT GTS, I think. However, it also looks similar to the NEW BA front as well, so it's not all bad. I like it better than the standard AU bar, but now wish I had waited for the T3 copy (see Falkeens car).

Mate, both versions (yours and Falkeen's) FRIGGIN ROCK!!!! I find that the T3 front bar is cool, but yours ain't too bad coz it's more of a custom job, and a not too bad one I've got to say. I like the GTS front, I've always loved that and it's great to see it on a Falcon.

Keep up the great work. I've taken heaps of pictures of my AU1 XR6'T' and will be putting them up on the net pretty soon.

Dudez, it's completely up to you but I sure do like your front end....errmm...I mean your Falcon's front end that is....I won't turn around and say "Awww...that's shit, take it off and put on an XR front" just to make you buy it from me. But come to think about it, if it's gonna only cost you $*** (price as we agreed), it doesn't hurt to have it lying around, never know when it'll come in handy right?
