Just thought Id drop a few pics on the progress of my project. The car is a 1982 XE Fairmont Ghia originally fitted with a EFI 250 crossflow, borgy auto & LSD & LPG.

Plans are (not in fitment order) to fit the mildly worked 351 Chevo with a 650 DP, fit the extractors, 2.5 inch exhaust, shaker bonnet scoop, Phase 5 rear spoiler, watts link compatable 9 inch diff, 5 speed supra gearbox, triple air horns, 16 x 7 chrome's, dark tint, gloss the front bar (ESP style) and the rear, remove protector strips, chrome engine components, fit some subs & respray Heritage Red.

Any thoughts? Id like to see some pics of other XE's in particular ghia's or ESPs.

Herritage Red? There was a colour called Hermitage Red on XD / XE.

Yeah your right hermitage it is, typo mate. Its a nice colour don't see make falcons with that colour.

I like the Hermitage Colour. I had my old Mk II Escort painted that colour and it looked great.

I think mine is Hermitage Red , but some confusion as to whether it is Monza Red ?? Nice colour anyhow !

Checked up in an old Dulux auto paint guide:

Hermitage Red is paint code L
Monza is paint code K

leave off the rear spoiler IMO. XD-XEs go well with the smooth look

Mine was Hermitage Red also, complete with carb'ed 250 six.
It was a shite load better after dropping in this ZH Fairlane vintage 351, FMX and down the track, the 9inch.

Yeah I tend to agree, most modified XD-XF Falcons are spoilerless. Which is probably for a reason, because of there boxy shape they don't seem to suit body kits & spoilers in particular XD & XE's. But I have seem some sweet looking XD's with a Phase 5 kit.

However, the spoiler didnt cost me nothing so I'll see how it looks.
I thought a rear spoiler would be something different to the norm.

Rastus, nice car mate. I haven't ever seem any other ghia's painted in Hermitage until mine.

Mine is in need of a respray, the colour looks sweet all shinned up.
