I was never a big fan of the SVO styling for the XF. But I wouldn't mind the engine that came with it. They ended up selling 3 of the twin turbo 4wd XF's. Would have been nice to have got one!
Agreed, not a hue fan of the X-series Falcons (except for a few).... but this one looks really sexy...must be the appeal of twin turbos and AWD.....damn....
And btw, I love your avartar EFJASE....

The XF had so much potential back in its day to keep Ford on top... It's a shame that these concepts weren't produced earlier (long before the arrival of the EA).

I want to know what the 150kw n/a carb engine specs were!
From what i know so far from modern motor mag it had 9.5 compression, 280 duration cam, redline of 5500 and dick johnson was flow testing the std manifold ported (196hp). No details on what carb though. Since he was with shell even back then the car was built to run on the new (back then) 96 ron ulp.
yeah i wonder if the tech specs are stored anywhere at ford, or if we can get a hold of them. Im sure a bit of development would have gone into that engine, and if we can get the secrets of the internals we'd be laughing :)
