01 ranger

i have a 01 ranger 4.0L and the front different moves when i am in 2 wheel drive... any ideas what is wrong ??? please email at brat_6977@yahoo.com if anyone knows what is wrong or has a idea what is wrong???

The hubs do not unlock on a 2001. S'all right, you're better off that way.

That's news to me! The front hubs stay locked all the time? If that's the case, that would help to explain the lousy gas mileage.

1998-99 Rangers had a vacuum hub disconnect but it proved troublesome and unreliable so Ford discontinued using it.
