01 ranger air bag code 46

My air bag indicator is flashing a 46 code. Any ideas? Everything seems to be working fine

Re: 01 ranger air bag code 46

You gotta reference that code, you wont have any change in driving but it may be an impact sensor or a bad bag or somthing, but you gotta get a code list to see what is setting the code. Ill see what i can find. Let me know what you find.

Keep us posted.

Re: 01 ranger air bag code 46

there is a TSB on this issue but for a quick fix that should solve the problem... on the bottom of your drivers seat there is a connector towards the rear of the seat(I think it's white), unplug it and put a little bit of di-electric grease in there and plug it back together
