02 4X4 Borg Warner Transfer case drain/fluid
I checked my 02 Ranger 4X4 auto trans v6 3.0 75000 miles Transfer case fluid level ,which seems OK.However this one doesn't have a drain plug to change fluid. The Haynes manual says in this case I should remove Transfer case damper cover! Is this the draining means? Or is the drain plug underneath?Neither Chiltons or Haynes manuals tell me much.I now understand the Mercon ATF in there should be changed!I haven't done much offroad driving, only use it now and then to keep it operating or that "Rare" Snow here in SanDiego county mountains! Or even Rarer RAIN! But when I do need it ,I wanna have clean oil and change it soon!Thunderstorms "Might" develop today, and when it rains in these here "hills" ,mudslides,Flashflooding, etc.!The County Trucks Drive around like in Winter here in Mountains ,WITH SNOWPLOWS!or Mudplows?2002 Ranger XLT 4X4 Offroad V6 3.0L.
