rangerteret Registered User Join Date: May 2007 Posts: 48	02Ranger 4X4 Transfer case Oil Change? My 02 Ranger XLT SC 3.0V6,Auto Trans,Shift on fly,has 75000 miles! I was underneath it ,and checking Transfer case fluid level,but noticed the Cover plte,Damper pulley,is in the way to drain it. The anuasl says to remove this?I haven't changed one ,ever,so any advice? I understand it too ,uses Mercon5? I do have the OFF Road Pkg.,too so I know I think though it has a drain hole,but other than that removal,what's with this damper,bolt removal ,and fluids? Thanks!
