05 Ranger shift knob - Ford Forums

ok this is probably a dumb question but how the heck do you get the shift knob off. ive tried twisting, turning, unscrewing, smacking the hell out of it and countless others.

If im not mistaken, u have to heat it with a hairdryer or somethin and beat the shitt out of it to make it come off....Maybe the newer ones are different though...Just my 2 cents....
