Ok, I'm new here so pardon me if I am breaking any rules or offend anyone.
So here's my problem I have a 1986 2.3 Ford Ranger and I don't know how to take out the camshaft lifters. I bought the chitlins repair manual and it doesn't say how, does anyone know how or have a link to a website with the proper instructions? Any help would be appreciated.

well your defintly not offending any1 and welcome.
i have never personally removed them just seen pics of sum1 bolting on roller rockers. sounds like youve got the old push rod 2/3 also there prolly all gummed in there and hard to get out but..... if a chilstons manual does not specify any "special" method of removing them then they should come right out just like any old pushrod v8. 1 question is your 86 by sum chance a ohc engine? in any event theres lots of pros here with this kinda stuff better than me. the best advice i can give you is to stick around and wait till 1 of them can get time to help you. usually 24 hours
