I have a 1998 Ford Ranger 2.5 4 cylinder (automatic) I had the head resurfaced due to a blown head gasket and i am now puttin it back up. I have a problem getting the tensioner that the cam and oilpump installed, its spring loaded. How do I go about installing it?

There's a special tool to move the tensioner away from where the belt is and the bolts are snugged down. Then when the belt is on, you loosen the bolts and it tightens the belt. OTC makes one. Maybe a parts store will loan you one.

This is in the Bahamas so they aren't about to loan out any tools. But I got it on. Thanks
