I am looking at a 1999 Ranger Sport. 3.0. What is a good way to check the headlights without the DRL getting in the way, I turned the switch and the did a quick flash, but the brightness didn't change, so how can I tell if the headlights came on and it still isnt the DRL. I used to have a 1994 Ranger and those headlights were bright. TIA

Unplug the DRL module and see if they work like normal.
