billj Registered User Join Date: Oct 2006 Posts: 13	1999 Ranger P0442 EVAP leak My '99 Ranger, 3.0 V6, is coding P0442 EVAP Emission Control System Leak (small). I have changed the gas cap twice. I replaced the canister, the canister control valve and purge valve from a parted out '99. I've checked all the vacuum lines I can see and get at, I replaced a couple of the vacuum lines that were getting hard. It codes when the gas gauge is a little above the half full mark, and if the check engine light is reset, when the gas gauge is a little above a quarter tank. Do Rangers have a know problem spot for EVAP leaks? Thanks.
