2002 Ranger airbag code 47 - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

My 2002 Ranger, 65 K miles, auto, 3.0 airbag just started staying on, preceded by a flashing code of 4-7 (4 flashes, pause' 7 flashes then repeat same sequence). FYI: when I'm driving and the light is solid, if I hit say a speed bump, it flashed briefly and then goes back to solid.

Who can tell me what this means?

un plug the a battery cable for an hour to see if it goes and stays away. but you may need to take to a qualified person to make sure it is ok. if you like the prospect of a item blowing up into your face.
