Have a Ford Ranger with the in dash 6 disc changer radio. It will not load cds, says the tray is full, yet there are no cds in the radio. Is there any way to reset the radio, or will I need to R&R it for repair, thanks in advance, Tim

We have trouble with Ford 6-disc CD players all the time at the dealer I work at. They are not very reliable.

You have 2 options....................

1) Remove it and have it repaired at a radio shop or dealer will send it out or exchange it, but then it will probably break again.

2) Remove it and put in a nice aftermarket unit

Thanks for the input Johnny, I kinda figured those were my options, I work at a GM dealer, we don't see too many problems with our in dash 6 disc's. But sending them out is not real cost effective when its out of warranty. Thanks again
