315,000 plus miles - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

I was curious if anyone knew what was the largest amount of miles on a Ford Ranger before major work was needed? My husband's has almost 316,000 miles and other than replacing the brakes once, it now needs a valve job because it is starting to run a little rough. I just thought that someone at Ford should know how great we think this truck is and we will more than likely buy another new one when this one finally bites the dust!

Awesome! What year is the ranger?
300K+ is hard to come by without any major work. I'm guessing it has a standard transmission to last that long without any problems! The majority of gas engines are rated for a 150,000mile service life, even though most last well into the 200K range providing they have been properly maintained.

The truck is a 2001 and it is a standard transmission. I was wondering if Ford had any information on this but didn't know how to contact them

I am about to get my Dad's Ranger (splash) it is a 1993 and it has 300,000 on it all original except brake jobs and a couple clutchs....4 cylinder engine all Original...The 1993 I was told will run FOREVER.........The thing is amazing......
