Hello
I am new to this forum, I have a 91 Ranger 4x4 5 speed manual tranny with auto locking hubs.Lately the switch locks the transfere case in 4 wheel drive but the hubs are not getting engaged, there is a little grinding noise front left.
1) I would like to replace hubs with manual locking, What years manual hubs would work as replacements?

I thought I did answer you. Sorry.The auto hubs are a problem. Not worth messing with. I am surprised you still have them on a 91. go to Baseline 4X4 or one of the other 4WD sites and order yourself a pair of Manual Hubs. Takes a few hours to install and you will never be sorry. Your hubs are not engaging all the way, which is not abnormal. Throw them away. A pair of new manuals would run you about $150.00.
