rdionne Registered User Join Date: Nov 2006 Posts: 3	4x4 locked up drive train, 02 Ranger What's wrong with my 4x4 /std trans. some time ago I got the front axle hung up on a stump (front wheels were off the ground) when I put the truck in 4 wheel low range to back off the stump it became impossible to move in reverse, the drive train locked up.I thought I was done, but putting it back on 4x4 high range it moved no problem. One more thing shows up at times (not all the time) switching from 4x4 high range to 2 wheel drive. the truck acts like the brakes are partially on until I move back and forth a bit. Is this normal or has Ford got a glitch? Under normal driving reverse works OK.
