87 Ranger Dual fuel tanks questions - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

I have recently purchased a 87 ford Ranger xcab that has 6cyl 2.9L motor. Well my question is, this truck has 2 fuel tanks and only one will show on the fuel guage. What could be wrong with the other one and how do I fix it?

Also, The automatic transmission is rough going into gears and in the morning it has to warm up a little before shifting from 1st to 2nd. What could be the problem?

as with most dual tank setups u can only see one tank at a time on the gauge at a time u have to switch between em , there sould be a lil switch sum whare bro but remember if u fill bolth tanks to the brim or even 1 tank completly ur gona waste more gas hauling all that gas around
