PLEASE HELP, I HAVE A 88 RANGER 2.3 CAN YOU TELL ME WHICH OF THE 3
MARKS ON THE POINTER I HAVE TO AIM THE THE CAM GEAR MARK AT?

NEW PROBLEM 2.3 ENG
AFTER DRIVING GETS VERY HOT, NEW THERM,WP,FAN CLUTCH.
ON THE SIDE TANK WITH UPPER HOSE,RAD IS COLD HALF WAY DOWN THE
SIDE.
I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH ALUM RADS TUBES COLLAPSING AFTER
BEING OVERHEATED BUT THIS HAS METAL CORES.

ANY IDEAS? THANKS,UNCBUC

Sounds like you're not getting flow, Water pumps for serpentine belts generally run backwards from those with a V belt, sure you got the right pump? Either that or your system is airbound.

Ever notice that there's so many high performance parts available for GM products?

Did you ever think that maybe they NEED them?

MY THOUGHT, REMOVED THERM AND EVERY THING BETTER,WILL GET NEW RAD FOR SUMMER.
I HAVE LOW TEMP BUT GOOD HEAT NOW CANNOT AFFORD NEW RAD NOW

THIS IS JUST SOME INFO FOR ALL THE PEOPLE LOOKING FOR
THE TIMING SPOUT ON A 1988 FORD RANGER 2.3 ENG.

"IT IS NOT BY THE DIST!!! IT IS BEHIND THE BATTERY"
TOOK ME MANY HOURS OF SURFING THE NET, BUT "YES"
IT BEHIND THE BATTERY!!
