94 4.0L V6 Automatic transmission overdrive
A couple years ago I had to put in a "new"(used) transmission
ever since then when I drive in Overdrive, which is all the time, it'll "shift" into overdrive the first time, most of the time the second time, and even less thereafter
it's worse in the summer, and works better in the winter, so the overdrive stops working when it gets hot
I was wondering if anyone knew anything that could help me?
and is it bad to drive in overdrive all the time, relative to the type of driving?
My transmission: I figured it to be an A4LD for a 94 ranger, but the pan looks like that of the 4R55E(4.0L V6 ranger). It does fit and it does work, but
I do have to manually shift it into 2nd and it'll only stay in 2nd(shifting back into O/D) when it reaches the higher end of the gear, 3rd and 4th shift fine
and maybe I have more problems than I know
