Please send me a list of EVERYTHING I can do to my little 4 banger 2.3 engine to kick it up a notch.

I'd try and find a turbo motor and accessories. Either an old Mustang or Capri motor or even one from a Merkur Xr4Ti.

Rebuild one of these and drop it in.

Moi? LOL. Lots of people have swapped in turbo T-Bird motors, it isn't terribly difficult. A 2.3 isn't going to make a lot of power unless you really spin it. A K&N conical, header, a cam from Ford SVT or someplace else, and definitely 4.10 gears. Clifford Research, JBA (I think), and Racer Walsh all have 2.3 parts besides Ford. A NOS setup might get you 40-50 hp if the rest can handle it, if not, the stickers alone should be worth 5 hp. (j/k) Esslinger too but I think a lot of their stuff is pure race.

if you want real power and know someone who can help you i have a friend who put a 351w in his ranger and that thing was crazy fast when he was done.
he sold it shortly after that because it was too scary for him to drive.
he said you couldnt mash the throttle at all without breaking the tires loose unless you were in 4th or 5th gear.

True, assuming you can find a motor you don't have to rebuild, you could drop in a 5.0 for the same or less than hopping up a 2.3, unless mpg is an issue.
