94 Ranger stalls - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

I have a 94 ranger V6 4L fuel injected. It starts great, but it will only idle for approx 25 seconds then it is as if someone turned the key off. It will start again with no trouble. If at an intersection the same thing occurs. I tried fuel cleaner, tested EGR, replaced the air intake control selenoid didn't help. Anybody got other ideas?

does it drvie fine. like when u accelerate real fast does it die.

it sounds fuel related, i would start by running a fuel pressure test from the schrader valve.

Yes it runs fine when I accelerate.

Thanks for the input. I tested the fuel pressure and that was fine. However, after trying a few other things and pulling out my hair I finally discovered that one of the intake manifold gaskets were improperly installed. After replacing that it works better than it ever did.
