95RANGER351

I have a 95 Ranger I'm building a 351W for. I haven't finished it yet, but I am trying to find out if anyone else out there has put a 351 in single cab splash, and then lowered it 2"/3"? since the 93-97 rangers all came with I-beam suspension up front, i cannot find a lowering kit except for 3"/4" drop. splashes aren't the lowest truck in the world, but i think 3/4 would be a little too much for my taste, and i want to run 17's with out rubbing.

if anyone can help, please feel free.

PS please do not suggest cutting, or taking out leaf springs. i'm not trying to be ignorant, but i don't want my truck to ride worse than it already does. haha

sounds like your screwed. lol you might try just lowering the body? it woulld give you the same results.

how do you lower just the body? i'm not the greatest when it comes to suspension

with a 351 it will sit lower in the front (originally a 2.3??) so you might want to wait and see the ride height after you do the swap.

yeah that's true, i never thought about that. i read once that 5.0's only weigh about 60-100lbs more than the 4 bangers they put in Rangers. so i'm thinking that a 351w will about 150 lbs more. so that does make sense. i'll just have to wait and see
