98 Ranger 4X4 tranny problem?
Hello, I got a 98 Ranger 4X4 with the 3.0L with an automatic. When I start off from a dead standstill sometimes there is a hesitation before the vehicle moves. The engine revs when I step on it, it just takes a second before it "kicks in". Is this normal? The vehicle has 100,000 miles on it. There's never a problem when I'm already moving, just from a dead start. Any ideas?
Thanks guys. You've already helped me out with my door ajar light staying on, a little WD 40 fixed the problem.
Another question, are those new Level II's lifted or do they have the same suspension as a regular 4X4? I know the tires are bigger and the shocks are different but if you put the same wheel and tire combination as the FX4 on it, and parked it next to an FX4, would they be the same height?
I'm planning on putting 30X9.5X15's on mine, and am curious if I'll get any rubbing.
