OK. The rubber boots on both the upper and lower control arms are shot.

I won't be able to replace the control arms until next month.

Is there some way to temporarily lube the ball joints to quiet the horrible squeaking when I turn the wheel or go over bumps?

Could try spraying some liquid grease into ball socket as temporary measure but how long it will last , dont know before it gets pushed out . Might help once it works its way around seat but keep aerosol handy !!!! Nothing to lose , worth a try .
