Hello-

I have a 1999 Ford Ranger that occassionally doesn't start. When I turn the key, nothing happens, no lights, no radio, not even a clicking sound. What I've been doing to resolve this is, I disconnect the battery then re-connect it. Once that's done, it's fine and starts right up. I suspect the problem is the security system built into the key or ignition system.

Battery is new, cabels are fine. I don't believe it's an alternator or starting problem since disconnecting/re-connecting the battery seems to reset whatever is off.

Anyone elso experience this type of problem?
