99 ranger runs like crap - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

I drive a 2.5L 4cyl ranger. While driving, when I start accelorate it will stall out, Ijust push in the clutch and rev it and seems to do just fine. I replaced the idle air controll valve, fuel filter, cold air intake, plugs, wires. Does anyone have any suggestoins of what may be the problem?

it could be a million things go down to ur local autoparts store and rent a tool service/or just buy a $15 compression tester before u put any more $ into it, if u got valid compression, continue troubleshooting.

i'm a full time marine at camp lejeune i'll take it to the auto hobby shop and test it. but what does it mean if it has low compression?

if it has low compression idealy 20 or more pounds below what it should have, ur gasgets r done, the head is done its all done, if u get good compression, then try and find ur problem but from what it sounds like this might be ur problem . no reason to drop $ into a junker
