Might be a bad wire connection somewhere along the lines provided you've tested the right fuse and the like. Terminals corrode after a while, but rarely just decide to break. Best thing to do is work backwards and ohm it out with a meter.

Maybe it's low on freon. Get a manual, possibly your library, that shows the wiring for the circuit. There are several switches, etc. that could be a problem.
