Hey everyone...Just curious.....Is there a way to add ABS Brakes to a Ranger that didn't come with it from the factory?...And if so, what all would i need??...Thanx
i would doubt it, and keep it cheap. first i think in some rangers the abs sensor was in the differential. but then there is all the computer stuff associated with abs. i doubt it. but with money there is a way.
Yeah like he said its really all about how much money you want to put in it. Personally I don't think its worth it, I had regular breaks in my 88 and I never had any concerns about my ability to stop.
Like anything with money anything is possible. I have never found the need for ABS in my truck. But it is possible i dont much of a price range at all but in my opinon stick without them.
just a hint the early ranger abs system still had lock up issues. you could hit the brakes hard enough to fool it in to thinking that the axle has come to a complete stop and it would allow the brakes to lock up
