I have a 2003 Ford Ranger Tremor with the 3.0 Flex. Auto tranny too.

About a month ago the Front Air Bag light came and blinks with the following sequence.........
2' 7' 2' 7' 2' 7' 2' 7' 2' 7 then stays on.

I also have no cruise. I don't know if this caused by the above or just decided to show up.

Just need some direction here. Thanks so much.

" The lightflash code 27 you are getting is due to a failure with the Passenger Airbag Deactivation switch (PAD switch). usually these fail due to the bulb inside the switch burning out and not illuminating when the airbag is turned off, this is a very common concern on these vehicles. Usually these switches are repaced as the switch assembly but if you have some electrical knowledge you might be able to replace just the bulb yourself and get it working again. "

Ok. The light is not working on the passenger airbag switch. I will research on how to fix this.
Can my cruise not working be caused by this? It come on but will not engage at any speed.

The cruise is not caused by that problem. There's a switch on the master cylinder that should connect the 2 wires together when the brake is not being applied and disconnect them when the brakes are on. That may be the problem.

Ok. I've also heard that there is a speed sensor in the rear diff that could make it not function too. True?

That sensor also runs the speedometer.
