hey everyone,
i recently bought an 06 ford ranger without knowing the air conditioning properly worked (to tell you the truth it does not bother me too much since i prefer to open my window, however i might as well fix it now that i found out about it). in the pictures below, you can see where the leak is coming from:

After trying to recharge the AC, you can clearly hear and feel the leak is coming from there. It seems like somebody has tinkered with it before. my question is what would be the best way to go about fixing the leak? Is there something i can do before having to take off the screw, the metal plate holding the rubbers into place?
