Re: bad gas mileage

fuel injector cleaner air filter cap and rotor plugs and wires better gas, less weight, proper tire inflation, better oil and additives, cooler radiator tempeture and addidives, better trans fluid and last octane booster.

or you could just save the $ and bee happy with the mileage?

Re: bad gas mileage

If it's an automatic, 15-17 sounds about right. Sorry.

Re: bad gas mileage

Hi. Got a 2001 3.0 with 26,000 miles and what really helped me (really meaning went from 17 to 18 mpg's) was changing the trans and diff oils. Put Redline in the Trans and rear end. The Redline fixed the 3rd gear snick immed.Well worth the money. But really have never done better than 18 mpg's and thats driving like an old man. Which I am.

Re: bad gas mileage

Oh and running Mobil 1 10-30 up front.Truck runs really good with these oils in them. Redline really made a difference. The look of the stock rear end oil at 26K was downright scary when I took it out. Grey milkshake.
But,lI guess the 3.0 is known for its long term reliablity not its gas mileage. Which is cool until until gas hits $3 plus. Also have a 180 degree thermo intake bypass too.
