Hello,

I have a 2001 ranger 2.3 liter engine 5 speed. The check engine light came on and I had it tested at the parts store. Error code is P1537. Something about exhaust / gas mixture. A few people told me it was the intake manifold filter that needed to be cleaned. I took apart the throttle body and sprayed a solvent that removes carbon buildup. Engine no longer runs rough at low speeds. However, the engine light did come on moments after I reset it.

Any other ideas?
