cruise control steering wheel switches

the light doesnt work on the steering wheel cruise control switch, on the right side. Are there lights in there, or does the switch need to be replaced? i cant figure out how to get them off. its a 1999 ranger. thanks for any help!

You have to replace the switch and you will get both sides from the dealer. Remove the Air Bag module (horn button assy) after disconnecting the battery and then remove the steering wheel to change the switches.

on the sides of the plastic case behind the cruise switches, you will see a plastic cap. Pop it off and there is is a phillips head holding the airbag in place. One on each side. Just remember to disconnect the batt.

My 1999 Ranger has the same thing. It worked once, but stopped again. Must be something with the right light on the steering wheel.
