i about killed myself changing auto tranny fluid on my s-10. It was very hard to do. How is it on a ford ranger? Is it a straight/easy drop down with the pan. Is the ranger easy to work on, like change oil, spark plugs, etc.
Been there. I remember the S. I didn't like going through the wheel well to get to the oil filter or the spark plugs. I didn't have it long enough to fight with the transmission hidden behind the skid plates.
My Ranger reminds me of the old days. Changing oil is done from the underside and the plugs are accessible from the top. Sorry I can't help with the tranny. Mine's a manual and pulling the drain plug on it is easy.
No disrespect to the S, but I won't go back. :driver:
S10 4wd was once rated by the NASI or whatever as the most difficult vehicle to service. Mine doesn't look like it would be hard.
