I neede help !! I have a 99 Ranger 3.0 Flex Fuel. It has been idling rough and hesitates when I barely accelerate but then goes away the more I accelerate. Does anybody have any idea what it is? my check engine light hasn't come on so I don't know.

start with the air, remove the air filter for a lil while and see if it runs right if it does u might need to get a better air filter "knn" for example
if not that id go to a good emisions place and ask them if they can analize ur air/fuel ratio to get a better idea of what it could be

If none of the advise above works, check your spark plugs, one of the plugs could be fould out causing a rough idle and start.

u know before ppl post things like "running rough" or "rough idle" i would think they would at least un sum injector cleaner/carb cleaner, check at least 1 plug, and blow out the fuel filter, n proceed to inspect spark n a gooood spark
stick a scrue driver in the spark plug wire off the plug, and stick it like 1mm from the body of the engine sumwhare metal and have sum 1 turn it over, see if u get a spark", then remove the gas line, of the fuel rail r carb, turn in on position see if anything blows out, last always disconect batt for at least 5 minuts, reconnect and start enshuring a engine code is not causing sumthing clears em all.

i mean they tought my lil couz this in shop class in highschool .
