hello, i have a 96 ranger with a 3.0L. 5 speed. i was wondering how difficult it would be to swap with a v8 like an svt or something. im pretty new to fords but am curious to know what kind of a v8 can i possibly fit in there.
I currently have a 347 stroker motor with a 5 speed in my 87 ranger. 5.0 based engines are the easiest because they are the smallest physically. 5.8 will fit without to much trouble. 4.6 and 5.4 will fit with a big shoehorn but it takes alot of modifications. If the truck is 4x4 it gets more complicated.
aright cool. i found a conversion kit for that too. umm, what transmission would you guys recomend me going along with the 5.0L ?? i want to stay manual. and is there anything special i'll need to get with the tranny?
