Howdy,
I am a newbie. And no mater what i put in the search box, i nothing so here it goes...I have an error code p0443 evap canister purge solenoid circiut malfunction. Where is the EVAP canistger purge solenoid?

BTW how do i search the forum?

What year and engine? To search, on the main Ranger page, there's a search this forum at the far right of the red and blue bar. OBD-II Trouble Code: P0443 Evaporative Emission Control System Purge Control Valve Circuit

Oh my, sorry! Its a 96 ranger 3.0 six. Is it the metal can by the battery? From what I have read it's a purge valve or...

There are several things that can cause that. Not the metal thing by the battery. You'll have to get a manual for it. Your local library might have one.

When I had this problem on my 1995 Ford Ranger 4cyl it was the vapor canister purge solenoid

Thanks all... I don't know how they took apart those fittings. The picutures were great. At least I know what it looks like.
Man. I even went to the junk yard. The guy gave me an old part. I tried to take it apart. no luck but the whole assembly can be replaced.

So I sure hope this does it.
