Hi, I believe I have a fault with the immobiliser on my 2001 Ford Ranger 2.5TD. In the morning the vehicle starts, however after running, then turning off it will not start, is like no fuel is going to the engine. The key light on the dash flashes in the sequence of two slow flashes, followed by four quicker flashes. Any ideas what the problem could be, would really appreciate any help. Thanks Nick.

the key light?..is it the "check engine light"?..if it is, its code 24, if so, go to the parts store and look in the book for that year of truck, and find what the code means..

Take the advice given in post and get it scanned for codes .
