fuel injectors going out on 99 ranger 3.0 flex fuel

I am the original owner of a 99 3.0 flex fuel ranger. after running regular unleaded for 77000 miles I switched to e85 because it was .50 cheaper. After 1 month and 1000 miles i had an injector go out. at that time i had a full tuneup, fuel filter and injector flush included. 1000 miles later i have another injector out!!!! I have always gotten my e85 at the same station. is it the fuel or the ford? I'm having my mechanic replace all the injectors and am going back to regular unleaded which is about the same price as e85 now.
What's going on?

Re: fuel injectors going out on 99 ranger 3.0 flex fuel

Someone once told me that the added alcohol can loosen accumulated deposits in the fuel system. Just a thought that if this is true, perhaps loosened debris plugged the injector when you switched to the flex-fuel. Maybe others have thoughts on this?
