OK guys help please. I am going crazy. Changed the tiiming belt and serpentine belt. Battery tested good keeps a charge when on charger. Alternator bench tested good.

When test between the alternator and the battery only showing 12.4

When remove pos term on Battery TRuck quits.

Battery Charger indicator light on when vehicle starts... charge on the dash indicator just over the white line on the good side.

why is there no charge happening between the alternator and the battery.

A friend suggested a fuse on the starter red cable ???? not sure where it is or even to look

What year is it. As a note, never remove the battery cable with the engine running on the newer vehicles. It can fry the PCM.

Totally replaced the wiring harness from Pig tail on the alternator to the voltage regiulator on the firewall to the connection on the Battery..... still will not charge.

If the brushes are bad in the alternator.. will it pass a bench test but not charge?

Any Ideas appreciated
