Help replacing rear brake lines on 89
Hi... this is my first post in here. I've owned an 89 EGT and own a 91 EGT, and I just bought my step-brothers 89 Ranger. He pulled and rebuilt the engine, replaced the exhaust, replaced the suspension and replaced the front brakes & lines... as well as a lot of other little upgrades. Despite a little rust, the thing runs great! It's been sitting a while though, but the only thing he's found wrong with it now as a brake fluid leak under the rear end of the truck. He hasn't located the leak yeat, but he assumes it must be the lines (seeing as he never replaced the rear lines) and he now lives in Minneapolis (I live in Milwaukee and the truck is 1/2 way between the two). Do any of you think it'd be anything other than the lines? If it is the lines, how do I replace the rear lines, and is it just going to be the minimal cost of lines ( I found 60" for $7). What length do I need and what size? I have no book for this truck. Anyone have any idea what it'd cost at a mechanic? Thanks in advance for any assistance.
