I never understood why all vehicles with a manual transmission have a button you have to push to take the key out....Can someone please explain the purpose of what that has to do with having a manual transmission?!?...I took mine off today and everything still works the way it did before--except now i dont have to push that damn thing every time I wanna take the key out!!! :hy:

Your steering wheel probably does not lock now. That is what it is for. With an automatic, when it is placed in park and the key turned off, is when the steering is locked. Manual tranny is different.
The steering wheel still locks just like before....There is no difference now that it is gone....It's just like having a steering column from an automatic!....
