Ignition Lock Cylinder

My son pulled into a parking lot with his wheels cut hard to the left. After trying to pull hard on the steering wheel and after some research, I had to drill out the old ignition lock cylinder but the tip of the old cylinder is broke off in the ignition.

How do I remove the tip? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I have watched both of those, thanks. But the tip of the lock cylinder is still in the ignition with the rest of the lock cylinder out of the housing

Re: Ignition Lock Cylinder

Never had a switch change over where that part was off the switch so not much help I'm afraid .Assume there is nothing protuding to grip and removing the ignition switch / plug wiring at rear wont give access to broken bit as it does on some other makes of cars ?

I can get needle nose pliers on the tip but it won't turn or pull out. The front wheels are cut hard to the left too if that matters. I've tried to pull hard to the left on the steering wheel too. I wonder of there is some type of other release pin

Re: Ignition Lock Cylinder

Could you carefully drill the tip and then screw in a small self tapping screw which would give you something to grip and pull out the part ? or is it too small ?

I started that too ... I guess I'm worried that if I do get a screw on it, then will it still turn. The steering wheel seems like it's locked too (if it does that) so I don't know if that's causing it not to turn
