lifter noise 89 2.9L
I have a noise (like lifter ticking), but only after warmed up. It sounds just like lack of oil sound. I also (think this is separate issue) have a gravely noise only when letting off the gas. It stops when accelerating, then starts when letting off the pedal. Possible collapsed piston? The truck runs very smooth, just noisy. Why would the ticking start only after it is warmed up? Thanks for any input. Russ
