try back flushing it first, and check thermostat it would save you alot of effort in the long run.

Re: need help removing my heater core

Just bought my first truck. I have a 99 Ford Ranger 3.0L V6 4x4 5 speed and I have the same problem. I need to replace the heater core. Checked local shop and they said that the heater core would cost $75 in parts and $460-$500 in labor! I can't afford that so i'm hoping someone could give some useful info on how to do it yourself.. please help!
