Since I am new I appologize if this topic covered before.
Two things, I have driven Ford Rangers since they came out un the 80,s. Wanted a full 4 door in 2007 and got tired of waiting for Ranger so bought a Sport Trac. Love it but still would have liked a Super Crew Ranger with the 6 foot bed like all my previous Super Cab Rangers. Suggested to Ford for years that they offer this but suggestions fell on deaf ears. Meanwhile all the competitors offer a 4 door mid size pickup and appears they are selling well.
As stated before I love my new Sport Trac but the small cargo bed and the glitziness not quite as desirable to me as a "Super Crew Ranger" would have been. They even offer "my truck" in other countries.
Enough rant but now the possible ultimate bad news. Heard rumor that Ranger may be gone as soon as next year? Sad news to me if true.
By the way I spent 31 years as the Parts Manager for a local Dealership in Ohio. I am now working back in my first love. In the Parts Dept at local Case/IH Farm Equipment Dealership. Still love and follow Ford closely however and glad to have found this Forum.
