So Ford does not have plans to make a new Ranger for a few years, even though GM will soon have some new offerings,
Ford would be able to increase sales of the Ranger if they offered this low cost performance model using parts already available but not offered as a package:

Regular cab
4 liter v6
5 speed manual trans
Short box
8.8 inch rear 3.73 gears or lower

This should be available as a plain non dressed up model, but offer a long list of options

When where they planning to do this? Instead of the 8.8 they should the 9" with the 3.73:1 ratio, how about that?
