I have a 94 ranger (2wd standard with the small six in it). i have the problem that there is no power at ALL, when i let the clutch out it almost dies unless i rev it out and burn the clutch. i have replaced the carbon can, the slave cylinder and a few other things trying to find the problem but i cant, i even took the exust off (running a open man) to see if it was the cat or the muffler was cloged, if any one has any other places that i can look please help, im running out of places to look for power.

Are you getting a check engine light? Sound's as though your not getting any timing advance. Does it idle properly? Start O.K.? How many mile's on the engine?

yeah it has alot of miles on it, 140 i think, and yes it does idle fine and run fine. but no the check engine light doesnt come on

Accelerator cable not stretched, so throttle not opening fully, so it dies.
