My truck was running when I parked it a year ago but now it is not getting fuel. I have changed the relays but still not getting fuel.I am wondering if the computer was bad , would it cause this? I wouldn't think that both fuel pumps would die at the same time, so I am thinking the brain died. Would like some input before I start sinking a lot of money into it before I find the problem. The computer is $100 compared to$300 for both fuel pumps. Is there anywhere I can take the computer to get it checked? Like the Ford dealership.

Do you hear the pump run for a few seconds when the key is first turned to run? Have you tried bypassing the relays and run power direct to the pump? What engine? Setting around can cause the pumps to quit. If the pump doesn't run when you turn the key to run, have someone turn the key on and off over and over again and give the bottom of the tanks a bump with a rubber mallet and see if they start working.

it is a 2.9. No sound when I turn the key. But do you think BOTH pumps would quit at the same time ?

The gas turns into a turpentine and can cause pumps to fail. Try running the power direct and test it like I mentioned.

update:
I replaced both pumps, fuel filter and relays. It is getting gas to the manifold where the injectors are at but still wont crank. I ever replaced the computer. Does anyone know how to check if the injectors are bad. I put power directly to one and it was clicking.

Will it start if you spray carb cleaner in the intake? Sometimes once it runs, it wil clear things up.

I can spray gas into the throttle body and it will run for a second but that's it.

do you still have the same old fuel in the tanks? fuel can lose its kick if you leave it for too long, maybe try some fuel stabilizer and a few gallons of new gas
